HE LOVES FISHING. HE HATES THE REST OF IT.
You catch a fish, fillet it, put it in zip-top bags, throw it in the cooler—and when you get home, the real work starts. “You’ve got to clean the cooler, get out your vacuum sealer, bag everything up, and then clean everything again,” says Brian McKinnon. “It’s a terrible process. Everyone hates it.” So he decided to do something about it.
‘IT WAS MY MOTIVATION’
After the festival, Brian lost everything. He had to work his way back from nothing, progressing through various jobs until he had enough money to fund the development and patents for the Roam-18V Battery Vacuum Sealer, the first of its kind. “It was my motivation to work, to get everything together,” he says.
